Meredith Math ("we") offers math tutoring, ACT preparation, practice tests and online course lessons at meredithmath.com. This page explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email outreach@meredithmath.com.

What we collect

Consultation requests. When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, phone number (if given), your message, and whether you'd like educational emails.
Practice tests. When a student takes a diagnostic test we receive the name and email entered at the start, their answers, how long each question took, and the resulting score report.
Accounts (when course accounts are offered). Your name, email address, a securely scrambled version of your password (we never see or store the password itself), and your membership status.
Things stored only in your browser. Your course progress ("I've finished this lesson") and your most recent practice test report are saved on your own device, not sent to us. A login cookie keeps you signed in if you have an account.
Website analytics. We use Google Analytics, which uses cookies to tell us how many people visit, which pages they view, roughly where they're from, and how they found us (for example, from a Google ad). It also tells us when someone sends the contact form or finishes a practice test, so we can measure which advertising works. This doesn't identify you to us by name. When you send a form after clicking one of our Google ads, the email address you enter is scrambled (hashed) and shared with Google only to match your visit to the ad; Google doesn't use it to contact you.

How we use it

To reply to you, schedule consultations and provide tutoring.
To send your practice test report and follow up about the results.
To send occasional educational emails, but only if you said yes. You can stop them any time by replying or emailing us.
To run course accounts and memberships.
To understand how the website is used and improve it, and to measure our advertising.

We don't sell your personal information.

Services that help run the site

Like most small businesses, we rely on a few trusted providers, who handle information only to provide their service to us:

Cloudflare hosts the website and stores the mailing list and accounts.
Web3Forms delivers form messages and test reports to our inbox.
Google provides Analytics, advertising measurement, and the fonts used on the site.
Bunny.net hosts lesson videos; its player loads only when you press play.
Our private client-management system, where we keep records for tutoring families.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on, and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

We also use Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tools to measure which of our ads lead to form submissions, sharing only scrambled (hashed) contact details; you can control this in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, under "Ad preferences".

Students and children

Our services are meant for high school and middle school students and their parents. The site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we have about you, or to stop emailing you, by writing to outreach@meredithmath.com. We keep information only as long as we need it to work with you, or as required by law.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
